New York City finally had a very belated hearing of Anton Rubinstein's brilliant and ultra gorgeous Cello Concerto No. 2, in d minor, op 96 on February 4th, with the wonderful Barbara Yahr conducting the Greenwich Village Orchestra. The audience, having never before heard this magnificent work, rose to their feet following the hair-raising finale!
